That's Discovery Earth, the real spinning 3D globe living right here on KidWorld, and it's already been spun and explored more than 700,000 times by curious kids just like you, earning a glowing pile of five-star ratings from happy families along the way. Grab the globe, give it a push, and let's go exploring!
๐ What Is Discovery Earth?
Discovery Earth isn't a flat picture of the world โ it's a real, glowing, spinnable globe, floating in space with soft clouds drifting over it and tiny stars twinkling all around. Every single country on it has its own true shape, carved right out of real map data, so you're never tapping a little flag sticker โ you're tapping the actual outline of the actual country, exactly the shape it really is. Drag your finger or your mouse and the whole planet turns beneath you; pinch or scroll and you zoom in close enough to see coastlines curve and mountains rise. Tap any of the 173 real countries (plus one icy, extra-special stop at Antarctica!) and the globe gently spins itself around to bring that very spot to face you โ and however far you've spun the globe around beforehand, it always settles with the North Pole politely pointing straight up and the South Pole down at the bottom, just like a real map, so you never end up looking at the world sideways. Waiting inside every country are six kinds of discoveries โ Landmarks, Animals, Nature, Food, Culture, and Geography โ adding up to more than 2,000 facts spread across the whole wide world.
๐น๏ธ How to Play Discovery Earth on KidWorld
Spin and zoom the globe. Click or touch and drag anywhere to spin the Earth around, scroll or pinch to zoom in and out, or tap the โ / โ buttons on the side if you'd rather zoom with a tap.
Tap a country to visit it. Hover or tap anywhere inside a country's real shape (watch for it to glow!) and the globe smoothly flies you there, always keeping north pointing up so you're never lost.
Open the country's info card. Once you land, a little panel pops up showing the country's flag, its name, its capital city, and a short, friendly description โ then six round buttons for the six discovery categories, each one showing how many of its 2 hidden facts you've already found (like 0/2, 1/2, or a completed 2/2!).
Tap a category, then tap a card. Pick Landmarks, Animals, Nature, Food, Culture, or Geography to see its two discovery cards, then tap one open to reveal a big emoji, a description, and a fun "Did you know?" fact โ the very first time you open any card, you'll see a cheerful "+stars, New discovery!" banner too.
Search for anything, anywhere. Tap the ๐ Search button and start typing โ a country name, a continent, or even a single animal or landmark you remember โ and Discovery Earth instantly lists every match. Tap a result and the globe flies you straight there (even opening that exact discovery card automatically once you land!).
Browse by continent. Tap the ๐ Continents button to see all seven continents lined up with their own little progress bars, showing exactly how much of each one you've explored so far โ tap a continent to see every country inside it, and tap a country chip to fly right over.
Take a quick quiz. Tap the โ Quiz button and Discovery Earth asks a fun multiple-choice question like "Which country is home to ___?" with four flag-and-name choices โ get it right for an instant bonus, or get it wrong and simply see the correct answer glow so you learn something new either way.
Handy tools: tap the fullscreen button above the game to make the globe bigger and easier to explore, and use the reload button any time you'd like to jump back to a fresh, zoomed-out view of the whole planet.
๐บ๏ธ The Six Kinds of Discoveries Hiding in Every Country
No matter which of the 173 countries you visit, the very same six treasure categories are waiting for you to explore:
๐๏ธ Landmarks โ famous places built or shaped by people, from towering ancient temples to record-breaking modern buildings.
๐ Animals โ the wild creatures that call each country home, from tiny frogs with giant voices to some of the biggest animals on land or in the sea.
๐ณ Nature โ the mountains, deserts, rivers, forests, and reefs that make every country's landscape one of a kind.
๐ Food โ the dishes families love to cook and share, and the funny or surprising stories behind them.
๐ Culture โ the festivals, dances, music, and traditions that make each country's way of life so special.
๐ Geography โ the big, sweeping facts about a country's shape, size, and place on the map that make it truly unique.
๐ง How to Earn the Most Stars on Discovery Earth
Discovery Earth doesn't have a finish line to race toward โ it's a big, friendly world just waiting to be explored, and every single discovery you make earns you real stars for your KidWorld profile. Here's exactly how the scoring works, and how to make the very most of it:
Every new discovery earns stars, but not all facts are worth the same. Each discovery card is labeled easy, medium, or hard behind the scenes โ easy discoveries earn a couple of stars, medium ones earn a few more, and the trickiest hard discoveries earn the most stars of all. There's no way to see the difficulty label before you open a card, so the fun surprise is part of the adventure โ just know that the harder-sounding facts tend to pay off best!
Stars only come from brand-new discoveries. Once a card shows "Discovered!" with a little checkmark, tapping it again won't earn you more stars โ so the smartest way to keep your star total climbing is always to go hunting for cards you haven't opened yet, rather than re-reading old favorites.
Quiz questions are a fast way to score big. Answering a quiz question correctly earns a nice chunk of stars all at once โ way more than most single discoveries โ so once you've explored a bit and learned some facts, hop into Quiz mode and put your new knowledge to work. Answering wrong costs you nothing at all except the chance at those stars, so there's zero risk in taking a guess.
Watch your star counter climb at the very top of the screen. A little star badge always shows your progress as a running total โ with well over 2,000 discoveries hidden across the whole globe, that number can keep growing for a very long time!
Use the Continents screen like a treasure map. Each continent shows its own percentage explored, so if a continent's bar looks a little empty, you instantly know exactly where your next adventure should be. It's a great way to make sure you're not accidentally skipping over any hidden corner of the world.
Let Search do the hunting for you. If you remember an animal or landmark you're curious about but forget which country it's hiding in, typing it straight into Search saves you a lot of spinning and guessing.
Come back any time โ your discoveries are always saved. Every card you've opened stays remembered right on your own device, so you can explore a little bit today, a little more tomorrow, and pick up exactly where you left off without ever losing a single star.

๐ Why Discovery Earth Is Such a Wonderful Fit for Kids
A spinning globe might look like just a pretty toy, but Discovery Earth is quietly one of the richest learning adventures on all of KidWorld:
Real geography, made unforgettable. Instead of memorizing a list of countries and capitals from a textbook, kids meet each country through its most exciting landmarks, animals, and stories โ the kind of facts that stick in your head because they're actually fun to learn.
A gentle reading workout, one card at a time. Every discovery is a short, friendly burst of reading, perfect for building confidence and vocabulary without ever feeling like homework.
A window into how big and wonderfully different our world is. Tasting new foods, hearing about new festivals, and meeting new animals from every continent helps kids grow into curious, open-hearted citizens of the whole planet, not just their own corner of it.
A taste of real science, hiding in plain sight. The Animals, Nature, and Geography categories quietly introduce real biology, ecology, and earth science ideas, from rainforest food chains to how mountains and deserts form.
No way to lose, ever. There's no clock ticking down and no wrong way to explore โ every tap either teaches something brand new or gently reminds you of something you already know, so the only direction to go is forward.
Endless replayability. With more than 2,000 discoveries spread across 173 countries, Discovery Earth is less like a single game and more like an entire library of little adventures โ there's always another corner of the globe left to explore.
๐ฎ Discovery Earth for Every Age
Discovery Earth doesn't lock any part of the globe behind a difficulty setting โ every country and every discovery is open to explore right from the very first spin. That means the very same glowing planet can be a cozy bonding activity for a toddler or a genuine world-knowledge challenge for a tween, just depending on how deep you choose to dig together:
Discovery Earth for toddlers (around ages 2 to 4): let a grown-up hold the spinning and zooming, then let your toddler point at whatever catches their eye. The Animals category is a perfect first stop, with big friendly emoji and short, simple facts to read out loud together.
Discovery Earth for preschool (around ages 4 to 6): search for your own home country first thing, and have your preschooler proudly find their own flag and capital city. From there, hop between a few nearby countries and compare their animals or foods side by side.
Discovery Earth for elementary (around ages 6 to 10): use the Continents screen like a checklist, aiming to fill up one continent's progress bar all the way before moving to the next, and try a few Quiz rounds to turn freshly learned facts into extra stars.
Discovery Earth for tweens (around ages 10 to 12): go for real completion โ with well over 2,000 discoveries waiting across every country on Earth, chasing that star counter higher and higher is a genuinely big, satisfying goal, and challenging a sibling or friend to a head-to-head Quiz round is a great way to show off newly learned geography chops.
A whole spinning planet, packed with more than two thousand real facts and hidden in the true shape of every country โ that's Discovery Earth for kids of every age on KidWorld, and it's ready and waiting for its next explorer. Give the globe a spin, pick a country, and see what secret you'll uncover first!
