Help a baby bunny hop away with the Golden Carrot through a pastel 3D temple! The signs over the path are splats of paint: hop under the right color to zoom ahead of the cheeky monkeys. Find a color, mix red and yellow, pick the darkest blue, spot the warm color or find the opposite on the color wheel, while you jump logs, slide under garlands and dodge smiling mushrooms.

The signs in this temple have no words on them. Each one is just a big wet splat of paint: a blob of red, a puddle of blue, a spot of sunny yellow. A baby bunny is hopping toward them with the Golden Carrot, and a gang of giggling baby monkeys is right behind. To keep the bunny safe, you have to read the colors, not the letters. That is the idea behind Rainbow Temple Escape for kids.

It's a 3D running game where every gate asks a color question. Some are simple, like "What color is a banana?" Others are artist puzzles, like "Red plus yellow makes what color?" or "What is the opposite of blue-green on the color wheel?" You steer the bunny under the splat with the right answer, all while jumping logs, sliding under flower garlands and dodging smiling mushrooms. Answer well and run well, and you escape under a rainbow.

🐰 A Paint-Powered Chase Above the Clouds

The path is a pastel stone road high in the sky, with fluffy trees and clouds all around. It has three lanes: left, middle and right. Every so often, a wooden gate with three hanging signs rolls onto the road. Each sign shows one paint splat, and only one is right.

The question sits on a white plate at the top of the screen. It uses little color dots instead of long sentences. For example, "● red + ● yellow = ?" or "πŸŒ™ the darkest red = ?". The orange question mark is the spot your answer will fill.

When the bunny gets close, the gate does something kind. It starts to glide along just ahead of the bunny for a few seconds, so the signs stay big and easy to see. Then it stops, and the lane the bunny is in is your answer. Right away, every sign shows its color's name, and the "?" on the plate turns into the answer in green. That way you always learn the right color, even when you miss.

🧺 Getting Ready to Hop on KidWorld

  • Pick your level. The setup screen starts with four cards: Toddlers, Preschool, Elementary and Tweens. Your level decides the questions, the number of gates and how tricky the path is.

the setup screen of Rainbow Temple Escape for kids, with level cards, four bunnies and color topics like Mixing and Opposites
  • Pick your bunny. Choose Snowy (white with a blue scarf), Cocoa (brown with a red scarf), Pebble (gray with a yellow scarf) or Peach (peachy with a purple scarf). The bunny you pick hops and waves on its card.

  • Pick your colors. Choose 🎲 Mixed for a bit of everything, or one topic to practice. The topics change with your level, from Colors and Things for toddlers up to Mixing, Tints & Shades, Warm & Cool and Opposites for older kids. The game remembers your choices.

  • Start Hopping! Your bunny turns to face you and waves during "3, 2, 1", then spins around at "HOP!" and off you go.

  • Steer. Use the arrow keys or W A S D. Left and right change lanes, up jumps and down slides. You can also swipe on the screen, or tap it: the left or right part changes lanes and the middle jumps. Phones and tablets get big β¬… Jump Slide ➑ buttons under the scene (Slide shows up from Preschool on).

  • Answer with 1, 2 or 3. On a keyboard, the number keys send the bunny straight to the left, middle or right lane. The sign over the lane you're heading for gets a gold edge, so you can check your choice.

  • Listen. Tap the plate to hear the question. If your sound is on, each question is also read out loud once, when its gate starts gliding.

  • Read your result card. At the end you see your stars, your score out of 100, gates right, carrots, your best streak and your time. Any colors you missed appear under "Practice these again" with little color dots. Then tap Run Again or Change Setup.

The buttons above the game let you Pause or go back to Setup. The play page also has fullscreen, reload and music buttons.

🌿 What's Waiting on the Path

Between the gates, the path has its own surprises. Each one has a matching move:

  • Mushroom-topped logs: jump over them.

  • Flower-garland branches (from Preschool up): slide underneath.

  • Smiling mushrooms standing in a lane: change lanes. On Elementary and Tweens, they can fill two lanes at once.

  • Lily-pad streams (Elementary and Tweens): jump across.

  • Corners with a flowery arrow sign: on Toddlers and Preschool the bunny turns by itself. On Elementary and Tweens you press left or right just before the corner.

  • Carrots: collect them for bonus points.

Bump into something and you'll see a little word like "Oopsie!", "Bump!" or "Splash!". The bunny stumbles, but it keeps running.

πŸ’ The Monkey Meter

In the top corner of the scene is a row of tiny monkey faces. That's the danger meter. A wrong answer, a bump or a missed corner lights up one more monkey. A right answer, or a few seconds of clean running, calms one down again.

If every monkey lights up, the monkeys catch the bunny and the run ends. Toddlers have the most room for mistakes and Tweens have the least. Reach the temple exit after the last gate, and you escape under the rainbow with the Golden Carrot.

πŸ† Running Smart: Tips for a Clean Escape

1. Read the plate the moment it changes

The new question appears before its gate is close. Use that time. Look at the color dots and think of your answer before the splats are even big. Then you only have to find it.

2. Let the glide do the work

You don't have to rush. Once the gate starts gliding, the signs stay close and clear for several seconds. Pick your lane calmly, check the gold edge and stay there until the gate stops.

3. Right answers matter more than carrots

Answers are worth up to 60 points and escaping is worth 25. Carrots add at most 15, and you only need about 6 out of every 10 carrots to get all 15. So never swerve for a carrot when you should be heading for the right sign.

4. Build a streak for Super speed

Every right answer gives the bunny a burst of speed. Every third right answer in a row gives an even bigger one, called "Super speed!". A little πŸ”₯ badge on the plate counts your streak.

5. Learn the trick answers

The wrong splats aren't random. They are the mistakes kids often make. For "red + yellow = ?", a wrong sign might show one of the paints you started with, or a different mix. For a missing paint, the wrong signs are often the third primary color and the mix you'd get with it. Knowing this helps you spot the trap.

6. Jump early, slide late

Logs and streams need a jump just before you reach them. Garlands need a slide right as you get close, because a slide only lasts a moment. If you press slide while you're in the air, the bunny drops down fast. That's handy when a garland comes right after a log.

7. Never jump a mushroom

The smiling mushrooms are too tall to jump. Always change lanes. When two lanes are blocked, move to the open one early.

8. Practice one topic, then go Mixed

If opposites keep tripping you up, choose the πŸ”„ Opposites topic for a few runs. Once it feels easy, go back to 🎲 Mixed.

πŸ” Six Color Gates, Solved Together

Toddlers: 🍌 A banana is ?

The plate shows a banana. The signs show yellow, blue and maybe green or purple. Ask, "What color is a banana?" Yellow! Hop under the yellow splat. Toddler questions never put two colors that look alike side by side, so a pink sign won't sit next to a red answer.

Preschool: πŸŒ™ the darkest red = ?

The three signs are all red: a very dark red, a bright red and a pale pink. The moon is a clue that you want the darkest one. Look for the splat that is closest to black. That's the dark maroon, so go under it. When the gate is judged, the sign names appear and you learn new color words.

Elementary: ❄️ a cool color = ?

The plate says "Cool colors feel like water and ice." The signs are green, red and yellow. Red and yellow feel warm, like fire and the sun. Green is the cool one. Hop under green, and the plate shows "a cool color = ● green".

Elementary: ? + ● red = ● purple

This is a missing paint question. You need the paint that, mixed with red, makes purple. The signs are yellow, orange and blue.

  1. Red and yellow make orange, not purple. So it's not yellow.

  2. Orange isn't a paint you'd mix with red to get purple either.

  3. Red and blue make purple. The answer is blue.

Elementary: ● orange ↔ ?

The plate says "Opposites sit across the color wheel." The Elementary wheel has six colors in a circle: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. Start at orange and count three steps around: yellow, green, blue. Blue is orange's opposite. The wrong signs are orange's neighbors, red and yellow, so don't just grab a color that looks close.

Tweens: ● yellow-green ↔ ?

Tweens use the 12-color painter's wheel: red, red-orange, orange, yellow-orange, yellow, yellow-green, green, blue-green, blue, blue-violet, violet, red-violet. The opposite is six steps away. From yellow-green, count: green, blue-green, blue, blue-violet, violet, red-violet. The other signs are red-orange and blue-violet, which are only four steps away. Tweens also meet tint puzzles like "● red + ? = ● pink". The answer there is white, because a tint is a color mixed with white.

🎯 Rainbow Temple Escape for Kids, Age by Age

🐣 Rainbow Temple Escape for toddlers (ages 2–4)

Toddlers get 8 gates, a slower bunny and only logs and mushrooms on the path. The bunny turns corners on its own, and the monkeys need lots of mistakes to catch up. The questions are "Find this color!" (match a color dot to its splat) and "What color is it?" with a picture of a fruit, an animal or a toy. A grown-up can read each question with the πŸ”Š and cheer when the bunny hops under the right splat.

🌈 Rainbow Temple Escape for preschoolers (ages 4–6)

Preschool adds flower garlands to slide under, 10 gates and three kinds of questions. Things asks what color an object is, Mixing asks what two primary paints make, and Light & Dark asks for the lightest or darkest of three steps of one color. Corners still turn by themselves.

πŸ“š Rainbow Temple Escape for elementary kids (ages 6–10)

Elementary runs have 12 gates, streams to jump, two-lane mushroom walls and corners you turn yourself. The questions grow up too: missing paints, tints and shades ("red + white = pink"), warm and cool colors, and opposites on a six-color wheel.

πŸš€ Rainbow Temple Escape for tweens (ages 10–12)

Tweens get 14 gates, the fastest bunny and the shortest monkey meter. They mix tertiary colors like red-orange and blue-green, solve tint and shade puzzles, and find opposites on the 12-color painter's wheel. This is where the color wheel really has to live in your head.

πŸ“Š How Your Run Is Scored

  • Gates: up to 60 points, shared across all the gates. Get 11 of 12 right and you earn 55.

  • Escape: 25 points for reaching the rainbow exit.

  • Carrots: up to 15 points. About 6 out of every 10 carrots on the path earns all 15.

So a run with 11 of 12 gates right, an escape and plenty of carrots scores 55 + 25 + 15 = 95 out of 100, and the one missed mix waits for you in "Practice these again."

πŸ’‘ Why a Color Chase Is Great for Young Artists

Color words stick. Every judged gate shows the names of all three colors. After a few runs, kids know maroon, lavender, red-violet and blue-green, not just "red" and "purple."

Real art ideas, in action. Mixing paints, tints and shades, warm and cool colors and the color wheel are the same ideas taught in art class. Here kids use them at running speed, so they stop being facts and become habits.

Quick thinking and calm hands. Kids learn to read, decide and then move, all while watching the path. A wrong answer only adds one monkey, so they learn that one mistake isn't the end.

If your child loves this chase, the same bunny runs in Math Temple Escape, where the signs show numbers instead of paint.

For another race powered by color, Paint Kart Circuit splashes the right paint onto your go-kart at every gate.

And to mix colors at a slower pace, try Color Crush, a match-3 game where crushed paint drops fill in a picture.

For parents: Rainbow Temple Escape is cute and gentle. The "chasing" monkeys are giggling baby chibis, there is no scary content and no chat. It practices color names, mixing, tints and shades, warm and cool colors, the color wheel, listening and reaction time. Settings are saved only in your browser.

The monkeys are already giggling, and the paint is still wet on the signs. Pick a bunny, choose your colors and hop to the rainbow in Rainbow Temple Escape for kids!
